Claude Morris Barnett

November 30, 1944 ~ February 1, 2017 (age 72)

Claude Morris Barnett, born November 30, 1944, passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2017, at the age of 72.  He is predeceased by his parents Ethelbert Barnett (1992) and Gladys Coore and siblings Carlton (1980) and Noel (2004).  Claude is survived by his beloved wife of almost 20 years, Yvonne, his beloved children, Lincoln, Antoinette, Yolande, Nadine, and Kevin, step-daughters, Corine and Shevon, his wonderful grandchildren, Shane, Justin, Taylor, C’erena, Nastacia,  Lincoln Jr., Sasha and Amari, his siblings, Daphne, Elmore and Lisa, as well as, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

As a young man living in Kingston, Jamaica, Claude worked as a police officer.  However, Claude was very good with numbers and was considered to be a calculator on legs.  These skills led Claude to a professional career in Accounting.  He was very passionate about being an accountant and was very proficient.  He worked various jobs as an accountant in Jamaica, later migrated to the United States and continued his career at The Bank of New York.  Claude lived and worked in New York for many years then later retired and relocated to Atlanta, Georgia.

Claude loved life and enjoyed living it.  He was certainly the life of the party and enjoyed entertaining family and friends.  He made everyone feel welcomed and you left his presence feeling like you just met your best friend.  The angels in Heaven have now welcomed the life of the party into their home.
